Intensive Outpatient Treatment Program (IOP)

The new Serenity Place IOP is for adult individuals (18 years or older) with substance abuse and/or trauma issues who are currently (past two months) enrolled in the Serenity Place MOP program and qualify through the ATR grant, or are clients of Serenity Place awaiting treatment. We provide an intensive treatment program with the flexibility for clients to hold employment or maintain family responsibilities. IOP requires the client’s time as follows:

-        Evening classes

-        3 hours/night, 3 nights/week for 16 weeks

-        An additional 1 hour intake interview and a 1 hour exit interview required

The IOP program employs Evidence Based Practices to educate clients in relapse prevention, anger management and safety. A family component, to help those closest to clients understand the work they are doing to be free of chemicals, is an important element of the program. Clients also participate in self-help meetings.
